Accessibility Statement
Effective date: September 14, 2026
Last updated: September 14, 2026
Lamorinda Healing Arts, Inc., doing business as Selling a Practice, is committed to making sellingapractice.com usable by everyone, including people with disabilities.
The Internet is the largest resource supporting freedom of information today, for the user community in general and for users with disabilities in particular. For that reason we place emphasis on granting equal service to people with disabilities who use the information displayed on this website, and on improving their browsing experience. We have invested in the website’s ease of use for people with disabilities to the fullest extent we can, in the belief that every person deserves a life of equality, respect, comfort and independence.
Conformance target
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium. WCAG 2.1 Level AA is the standard most commonly referenced in connection with the Americans with Disabilities Act and is the benchmark we measure ourselves against.
We claim partial conformance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. “Partial conformance” means that most of the website meets the standard, but that some content does not yet fully meet every Level AA success criterion. We have chosen to state this rather than claim full conformance, because it is accurate: this site has a large volume of content built up over many years, and we are working through it. The known gaps are listed below, and we are addressing them on an ongoing basis.
Measures we take
- Accessibility is treated as an ongoing obligation rather than a one-time project, and is considered when pages are built or revised.
- New and revised pages are written with clear heading structure, meaningful link text, sufficient color contrast, and text alternatives for images that carry information.
- The site is designed to be usable by keyboard alone and to work with screen readers.
- The site is responsive and is intended to work on mobile, tablet and desktop, and to remain usable when text is enlarged.
- We provide an assistive accessibility tool on every page, described below.
- We review the site periodically and act on the feedback we receive from users.
Site accessibility tool
This website uses the EqualWeb accessibility tool, which runs the Nagich By Click accessibility software and connects through a dedicated accessibility server. The software is provided by its manufacturer and is subject to the manufacturer’s terms of use. Lamorinda Healing Arts, Inc. remains responsible for this website and for the content displayed on it, including the implementation of the tool.
The website features an accessibility menu, available from every screen. Selecting the menu makes the accessibility options available; after choosing an option, allow the page to finish loading before using it. The options include:
- Keyboard-based navigation
- Adaptation for NVDA assistive technology
- Font enlargement, at four levels of magnification
- Immobilization of moving elements and stopping of blinking
- Altered color contrast against a dark background
- Altered color contrast against a light background
- Adaptation for color-blind users
- Change of font for improved readability
- Enlarged cursor, with a change of color to black or white
- Enlargement of the display to approximately 200%
- Emphasis on links
- Emphasis on headings
- Presentation of alternative text for graphics
- Declaration of accessibility
- Sending accessibility feedback
An accessibility tool of this kind is an aid, not a substitute for an accessible website. We do not rely on it alone, and we do not treat its presence as satisfying our obligations.
Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some content may not yet be fully accessible. We are aware of the following:
- Older pages. Some pages published in earlier years may have imperfect heading structure, missing or inadequate image alternative text, or color contrast below the Level AA threshold. We are working through these.
- PDFs and downloadable documents. Some older documents may not be fully tagged for screen readers. If you need one in an accessible format, ask us and we will provide it.
- Third-party content. Embedded content we do not control — including scheduling, review, mapping, video and listing components — may not fully conform. We choose accessible vendors where we can and raise problems with them when we find them.
- Video and audio. Not all video on the site carries captions or a transcript. Ask us and we will provide a transcript.
- User-submitted content. Testimonials and photographs supplied by clients may not always carry ideal alternative text; we add it as we review submissions.
If you cannot access something on this site, tell us and we will get you the information another way — by email, by phone, or in whatever format works for you. You will not be disadvantaged because part of the site did not work for you.
Accessibility feedback and contact
We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of sellingapractice.com. If you encounter a barrier, or need information from the site in a different format, please contact:
Jessy Hojaij, Client Operations Manager
Email: [email protected]
Or use our contact page
We aim to acknowledge every accessibility message within 24 working hours (that is, within 24 hours during our normal business days), and to tell you at that point what we can do and by when. Where a fix will take longer, we will give you the information you need in an accessible format in the meantime.
It helps us if you can include:
- the web address of the page concerned;
- a description of the problem you ran into; and
- the browser, device and any assistive technology you were using.
Assessment and enforcement
This statement is based on our own evaluation of the website, carried out by review of the site against the WCAG 2.1 Level AA success criteria together with the assistive tooling described above. It has not been verified by an independent third-party audit.
If you have raised an accessibility problem with us and are not satisfied with our response, please tell us directly at [email protected] so that we can put it right.
This statement will be reviewed and updated as the website changes and as we close the gaps listed above.
